This collaborative project aims to improve the oral skills of second language students’ (Spanish and English) and also to exchange their ideas and opinions about different themes in a real online context. The structure promotes critical thinking and problem-solving approaches.

The general communication platform used for the project is this Google Site (http://youngcast.iearn.cat) being Skype, Hangout (Google +) the media used for doing the videoconferences between schools.The project will work from January to April.

There are some activities, being the first one the introduction of themselves with some presentations, videos or audios. Then the coordinator creates tandems and the students begin to do videoconferences talking about  their culture, hobbies, daily routines. After the meeting, the different schools prepare a challenge to the other school (it could be a scientific, mathematic, physical challenge...) The tandem school have to try to solve the challenge and they have to record or make some photos showing they did it. The last activity is a videoconference to talk about the challenge and say goodbye.
